Why I’m an Independent Health and Life Insurance Agent

Early in my life, my father brought me to the United States when I was just over a year old. Like many hardworking Americans, he spent decades building a life—working with his hands, contributing to hospitals and communities across Florida.

Later, when he retired and transitioned onto Medicare, the experience was nothing like the peace he had earned. Conflicting advice, confusing notices, and unanswered calls quickly replaced clarity.

That moment taught me that the system is difficult to navigate, and too many people must figure it out on their own. That’s why I became an independent health and life insurance agent, to guide people like my father through these complex decisions.

I became licensed to ensure my father (and others like him) fully understood their options and felt confident in their decisions.

As I gained experience in the industry, I saw firsthand how agency structures can shape how advice is delivered.

After working with different agencies, I realized that true independence matters for clients. As a result, it allows me to work with multiple insurance companies, focus on the client instead of quotas, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
